One part MST3K, one part Elvira, four parts cheese!

TV special that took four bad movies, compressed them into 22 minutes each and had TV’s Frank Conniff write a few good lines, badly inserted by Elvira and some sitcom kids at various points in each show.

Mystery Science Theater it is not! However, as a mainstream attempt to copy MST3K, it at least demonstrates that mimicry is the best flattery. Or at least it demonstrates that some network lackey figured they could rip off the show for a total cost of $57 and a bowl of chips for the kids.

If nothing else, it allows you to see a Readers Digest view of some rotten cheese that the gang at MST3K should have riffed, but didn’t:

Wasp Woman
Killers From Space
Monster From Green Hell
The Navy vs. The Night Monsters

I love a fun, bad movie but this one stunk so badly I couldn’t get past the first 20 minutes before throwing it out. It was like a video recording from a late show complete with commercials inbetween! There were some teenagers I never heard of throwing in dull Elvira type quips inbetween scenes. Nothing was funny and it was just utterly horrible and it is so bad that Cheepnis sells this sort of garbage that I will not buy anything else from them unless it is Mystery Science Theatre 3000 which is funny most of the time. Do not buy this product! I guarantee you will be sorry you wasted your money.

Cheepnis Replies: Wow… um… well, I freely admit that this is a stink bomb and it was indeed a video recording from a late show complete with commercials inbetween. I chose to leave the commercials intact to give it that air of… cheese… in all it’s original… um… glory. It is being offered to the completionist out there and as a bad example of how NOT to imitate MST3K.
