Starring: Mona Martenson, Tryggve Larssen, Harald Schwenzen
Plot: Laila is a woman caught between two cultures. She was born Norwegian but is brought up with the Sami (called Lapps in this film) who are the nomadic, reindeer herding indigenous people of far northern Finland. Falling in love, she must choose between a Finn and a Norwegian.
The breathtaking scenery and exciting exploration of the Sami culture make this 2 hour and 40 minute film into a lesson of anthropology unto itself.
